While Henk and his brother sell number plate holders in Gronau (Germany) an idea was forming so much so, that in 1984 Araco was born, a company that specialises in business gifts and advertising articles for garages. After three years Henk decides to grow the company and started a screen printing business on the Kuipersdijk in Enschede.
With the move to Poolmansweg in 1989, the 1st employee (Egbert) joined the soon to be larger team, and that turned out to be a great choice as Egbert is still part of the Araco team. In the nineties Henk started to focus his company more and more on textiles, initially with caps, but shortly thereafter Araco started selling warm fleece products such as scarves, hats and towels
In 2009 Araco found a new home on the Jaargetijdenweg 90. Since then, everything has travelled at a fast pace. 1 year later Araco started utilizing companies in Romania for embroidery. In 2014 the range was to be expanded with own brands ‘Sophie Muval’ (towels), ‘Seano’ (travel products) and ‘Brickstone’ (workwear).
With the establishment of DOT, Araco has been producing 'in-house' since 2015 and is therefore capable of meeting the customers requirements . In 2020 you will find that Henk and his team of ambitious employees are still full of ideas. Together with customers, suppliers and partners Araco aims to continue to build a future full of (textile) dreams.
